Since the asst city manager is comfortable with our water system as it is right now, he needs to take some big drinks in front of us!

"Solomon Ortiz Jr. on Corpus Christi water problem"

From a Solomon Ortiz Jr. press release:"As you know by now, the City of Corpus Christi has issued a mandatory water boil notice for the entire city, due to the presence of possibly harmful organisms, including fecal coliform/E. coli bacteria. I urge all citizens to comply with the water boil notice and take extra precautions.

An official with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has informed me that positive tests for E. coli were reported at the city's water laboratories on both Saturday and Sunday, and that the city may have violated the state rule which requires it to notify the public of possible contamination within 24 hours. TCEQ has already initiated an investigation into the city's actions. I would find it highly troubling if city staff knew of the dangerous bacteria and failed to notify the public in a timely manner. I will be monitoring this situation closely in the coming days and will keep the public informed of any action TCEQ takes."

Solly'

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter, it is appreciated.

We need to save a few gallons and take it to the next city council meeting and watch them drink the water, furthermore we should all turn our faucets on and just let em run until we refresh the whole system. Also, maybe the city council should forgo billing us for this month in light of the product quality (poor). This has put a big dent in the economy of many merchants and the employees who were sent home due to closing.

Once again thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.
