A student () at Cesar Chavez Academy was tased by a CCPD moonlighter yesterday 11/11/2008. The use of tasers are in lieu of deadly force and as numerous witnesses state there was no reason for the assault. The Principal Tracy Saenz was off campus when the incident occurred and proceeded to defend the officer as if she were to have witnessed the event. She attempted to discredit the student with exaggerated untruths and when the student learned of the negative remarks made by the Principal tears came to his eyes. He believed that she believed in him. It is requested an impromptu inspection be conducted without forewarning. Incompetence will reveal itself even before the school day begins as there are numerous groups of students and non students on campus without supervision it appears very trashy and in violation of education policy.

As the recently divorced ex of a CCPD officer, I feel compelled to point out to the public that this department is corrupt and immoral from the top to the bottom. The citizens, specifically taxpayers of Corpus Christi should be able to hold these officers to a higher moral standard than other citizens. They are supposed to be in a position where our children look up to them. Instead, on any given day, you can find an officer in a police unit, on duty, carrying on with a paramour. How many of these officers are cheating on their spouses while on duty? A GREAT MAJORITY! How many units do they show on the MDT at the mud bridge at 3 in the morning? Far too many and they will never admit the lack of morality and consequences for these officers. How many times have officers and dispatchers been secretly counseled for using the department's computer system as a chat room or dating service? There are no consequences for being immoral with this department. It needs an overhaul... from top to bottom starting with Chief Smith. When he had no consequences for the rape incident, it affirmed to these immoral officers that they are ABOVE THE LAW! I hope the council does the RIGHT thing and sends all of the department a message by making an example of Bryan Smith.
On the Tasered Student,
1. There has been no investigation this matter.
2. There is no report of this incident.
3. Federal Agencies either have been informed and acquiesce (maybe hoping it will go away) or they remain uninformed and ignorant.
4. There is a formal request requesting FBI & DOJ conduct an investigation (into the tasering incident).
5. If it is a matter so simple as the student was not innocent in the case then by all means let's prove what exactly he is guilty of and whether the use of a taser was appropriate and if so is it the way we choose to handle matters in education. Hell, if the kid doesnt do their home work ZAP! OOOOPs he got a couple of test questions wrong ZAPPPPP~! And you sir you are walking on the wrong side of the hall ZAPPP ZAP there you go a full zap and another quick zap for violating the full monte of rule,....."The Forbidden Hallway" oooooooooooooooh! "Tase em all they are being teenagers" You Got It Brother!!!!!!
Is that the way it is going to be for kids?
That means your kids, and Shamsie's kids, and every student in the Texas Eduction System. No wonder the phrase "School to Prison Pipeline".
